3-5 SELO COOKING CLUB


DAY OF WEEK: Tuesdays *Except week of Thanksgiving

GRADES: 3rd, 4th, 5th

SESSION DATES: November 6, 13, 27 December 4, 11, 18

LOCATION: Staff Lounge

MAXIMUM: 15 students

COST: $20.00 for six week session

TIME: 3:30-4:30 PM

DUE BY THE END OF THE SCHOOL DAY ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 22nd.

Please make check payable to "Simonds Elementary." Students will be added to the club as completed registration forms and fees are received.  Once class is full, students will be put on a waiting list. If spots do not open, registration fees will be returned. Please make check payable to "Simonds Elementary"

 

IMPORTANT INFO:

Students may use appropriate kitchen tools and a stovetop/oven under adult supervision.   

 

We are excited to teach students the value in learning to cook! Chef, Mr. Richard Colon, will introduce students to basic kitchen safety, basic kitchen skills, making soups and sauces, and how to follow a recipe, along with decorating an apron, creating a cookbook, and a friendly “Chopped” competition!  This Club is perfect timing to teach students to help in the kitchen during the holidays!


*If your child goes to School Aged Child Care (SACC) after school on the day of this Club, please see Mrs. Whiteman. You need to complete specific paperwork in order for your child to attend these sessions.
